Our Mission
Rescuing Food and Supporting Our Community
To reduce food waste while providing access to nourishing food for everyone in our community.
A world where no good food goes to waste, and all individuals have equal access to healthy nourishment.
We prioritize sustainability, community support, volunteer engagement, and social equality in all our initiatives.
Since 2017, RobinFood has been at the forefront of reducing food waste in Biel/Bienne by rescuing edible but no longer marketable food. Our dedicated team of volunteers ensures that this food is collected and redistributed to those in need through public refrigerators. Through our efforts, we’ve supported countless individuals and families while promoting environmental sustainability and social equity.
RobinFood has significantly impacted the Biel/Bienne community by diverting large amounts of food from landfills. Our initiative has provided consistent access to nutritious food for socially disadvantaged individuals, making a measurable difference in the lives of many.

Food Collection
We partner with supermarkets, organic food stores, and bakeries to collect edible food that would otherwise go to waste. Our volunteers work diligently to ensure that this food is efficiently gathered and redistributed, supporting our mission to minimize food waste and ensure access to quality food for all.
Through our network of public refrigerators, we make rescued food available to the community of Biel/Bienne. Our team ensures that the food is accessible to everyone, particularly those facing food insecurity, fostering a sense of community while promoting sustainability and reducing waste.
We welcome volunteers who are passionate about reducing food waste and supporting those in need. By joining our team, individuals can contribute directly to food collection and distribution efforts, gaining valuable experience while positively impacting the local community.
We run awareness campaigns to educate the public about food waste and sustainable practices. Through workshops, events, and social media outreach, we aim to inspire individuals and local businesses to make informed decisions about food consumption and waste reduction.
